Dark and gloomy sceneries

Another concept was to enhance the light focus over an element. That's why we had to be aware of these dark places where the main character navigates.

In order to keep a certain level of visual cohesion between frames, we put them into a grid to look after the colorimetric correction, the light/contrast tones. Thus, these are all the style frames we designed before making the animation. We tried to respect the third party rule to make an even more beautiful compositions.

As a Lakers or Celtics fan, you are aware of the incredible rivalry between the two teams. Here is a motion design film I made, highlighting the strong assets of both teams. Also, as a fervent aficionado of NBA games (and Golden State die-hard fan...), I find
some fun playing around with this topic.

Process

First of all, I watched many oppositions between the two teams, documentaries to inform me. I then established all the strengths and weaknesses of both teams.

From an artistic point of view, my approach was to design futuristic interfaces as if the rivalry would last over time. It's the most famous rivalry in the NBA and I can see that it will last in time and history!

REFERENCES

Playing with colours & grading was fun. Icons like Magic Johnson and Larry Bird had to be present in terms of story telling. The archival footage alone speaks for itself. Then, I had to create the grids and the interface environment to accentuate this futuristic universe. My goal was to invite viewers to watch the TV show as if it was being broadcast by ABC or ESPN on a night of high ratings.

Process

Based mainly on a neon decor, we chose to add motion design to illustrate Loud's freestyle, all graphically stylized with neon lights. The Niakerie was in charge of editing the video after capturing all the rushes during the shooting. Once the video was received, I had to study the lyrics and try to illustrate it in the best way possible with icons or small animations.

SO FAR SO GOOD

So Far So Good is the first track on the album A Record Year and from the outset, Loud reiterates what we have heard in his previous projects: he is a rapper of stature. So he's in the game to make a living - to make money - so he's not fooling around with rap. And we had to illustrate this with plays of light to show that it is part of the stars, that it is not ephemeral.

Green Garden Digital agency was commissioned to produce a promotional video of the "Mutator" shoe by Adidas for its dealers at Decathlon. This video had to promote all the technical features of the shoe, from the sole to the innerboot. This video is also intended for Decathlon's in-store screens, and on the Adidas France home page during the course of the campaign.

Process

In the creative brief delivered by Adidas, we had to do without 3D and try to integrate the shoe in the best possible way in an environment that is consistent with its artistic direction. Melvil Slaouté was in charge of shooting the pair on a green background. We thought together about the best shots, keeping in mind the practical aspect to manage the post-production. Then, we did the integration, colorimetry and the addition of motion design.

100% unfair

The boot is advertised to have Demonskin, an layer of material designed to give footballers a greater grip on the ball, allowing them to generate more spin. The texture is spiked and wraps around the front and side of the boot. In the campaign launch video, footballer Paul Pogba shows off the boots & how the spiked layer enhances their skills.

Reinforced components to increase the breathability and ground adhesion of the shoe. A new sole and the whole shoe was reworked by Adidas. We were discovering within the agency how the shoe was designed and it's full of ideas that we come out of this shooting to create a video highlighting its main strengths.

As part of the release of the video game Need For Speed Heat by
EA Sports, they contacted the Green Garden Digital agency for activation around P-E Aubameyang, FC Arsenal player, and big fan of customized & luxury cars. To support his passion for cars, an interview is conducted and the first steps are made within the game to launch the universe and the scenery.

Process

The Green Garden Digital team travelled to London to visit the home of P-E Aubameyang to film his cars and his interview. Once I was able to get a first edited version of the video, I had to do the color grading and colorimetry of the video, and add motion graphics to support the charter of the game.

Pierre-Emerick lent himself very well to the game, and gave us with emotion his passion for cars, coming straight from his father. He has developed it during his football career.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR CAR

One of the many points covered in the video is the possibility to customize your car. Pierre-Emerick explains the interest of doing so, as well as the modifications already made to his cars. He also underlines his dream to complete his collection because it represents his personality and makes him an extrovert person.

He even had the opportunity to recreate his Aventador within the Need For Speed heat studio application.
